Prof. Dr. Peter Rössger

Prof. Dr. Peter Rössger is the leading voice on the interaction of humans and technology. For more than 30 years, he has focused on one central quest ion:

How do we develop technology that truly serves people and enables companies to achieve sustainable success?

His unique combination of mechanical engineering, psychology, a PhD from TU Berlin, and an honorary professorship at FH Aachen forms the foundation of a career that led him to Daimler and Harman Automotive. There, he developed human-machine interfaces for brands such as Porsche, Ferrari, Toyota, Hyundai, and Harley-Davidson. Today, through his company beyond HMI, he advises international companies from the automotive and high-tech industries on usability, user experience, human-machine interfaces, human factors, artificial intelligence, and robotics.

His strength: making complex future topics understandable, entertaining, and emotionally engaging while providing concrete impulses for strategy, innovation, and leadership. As a keynote speaker, he translates technology, psychology, and business reality into clear impulses for decision-makers. His talks combine a scientific foundation with real project experience and a strong storytelling component. He succeeds in making technological developments tangible, clearly outlining opportunities and risks, and opening new perspectives on innovation, digitalization, and leadership for his audience. His talks are never just about technology, but always about societal change, people, decisions, and responsibility. Prof. Dr. Peter Rössger is the author of the book “Status: Offline” and host of the award-winning “The Human-Technology Podcast”.

His keynotes are not traditional lectures, but thought-provoking impulses that change perspect ives, spark discussion, and inspire people to take action.

Keynotes

Prof. Dr. Peter Rössger consistently places humans, with their capabilities, desires, and needs, at the center of technology development. His keynotes show how companies can strategically use resources – budget, teams, t ime, and know-how – to create products that truly work, inspire, and are sustainably economically successful. How do innovations emerge that are actually used? How is technology developed that creates trust and real value? How do we preserve humanity in an increasingly automated world?

Prof. Dr. Peter Rössger offers keynotes of 20 to 60 minutes in duration, both in German and English.

What the Hotel California Moment is. And how to Avoid it. How successful and valuable products are created

  • Why humans are not computers and why this is exactly the key to successful innovation
  • Which trends and technologies are relevant and how we turn them into products and value
  • How human-technology interaction determines acceptance, usage, and economic success
  • How companies strategically use resources, teams, and budgets to develop products that are used, loved, and recommended
  • Why real innovation does not begin with technology, but with understanding people

> For companies that do not want to leave innovation to chance

AI, Robotics & the Uncanny Valley. From Creepiness to Value. How companies design trust in intelligent machines

  • Why humanoid technology fascinates and creates discomfort at the same time. And what this means for companies
  • How AI is evolving from a tool into a social actor: assistant, colleague, and decision-maker
  • Why trust becomes the central currency of the AI era. And how quickly it can be lost
  • Transparency, deception, and trust in dealing with intelligent systems
  • Human-AI collaboration instead of human replacement: how collaboration with AI really succeeds
> For companies that want to use AI and robotics responsibly and build trust in new technologies

Status: Offline - Balance and Sovereignty in a Digital World Technology is everywhere. Who is actually controlling whom?

  • How Big Tech shapes our attention and why this is not only a personal issue, but also a business issue
  • Why digital dependency can become a business risk for productivity, creativity, and decision quality
  • How people and organizations regain control and use technology consciously instead of reflexively
  • What it means to maintain focus, clarity, and the ability to act in a permanently connected world
> For companies that want to design technology consciously

The Human-Technology Podcast - Introduction

by Prof. Dr. Peter Rössger

This podcast is about the relationship between humans and technology, about the design of technology. Technology has two big problems: it’s difficult to access and it’s addicting. I want to make my listeners’ lives better by opening their eyes to the design and use of technology. My goal is to change the way you look at the world and make it a better place.
