What drives me
Hi, I’m Dr. Peter Rössger, keynote speaker, consultant, and coach in human machine interfaces, user experience, and usability. Your HMI Guru. HMI Expert. HMI Punk.
We are surrounded by constantly growing quantities of technical systems. Ubiquitous digitalization. Ubiquitous networking. Ubiquitous communication. Humans are and remain humans with all the wonderful strengths and all the surprising weaknesses. Many animals can fly or run faster than us. And all can kill their food without tools. Although we are beings with physical deficiencies, we are psychic, mental, and spiritual superiors thanks to our brains.
Our intelligence enables us to create tools with which we can achieve God-like qualities. However, we often alienate ourselves with these self-created instruments. Technology often remains elaborate, complex, and/or incomprehensible to us. For over 30 years, I have been engaged in adapting technology to the wishes, needs, and abilities of people. And not the other way around. I have developed solutions, processes, and ways of thinking that enable my listeners to develop the best possible solutions for their own products and processes.
To successfully implement a user-centric design of technologies and products, you need three components: the right parameters, the right processes, and the right way of thinking. I talk about these points in order to take your thinking, your actions, and your results to a new level.
No phrases, little theory: expertise acquired in practice, applicable strategies, and solutions that go straight to the point. Listener orientation: I change your thinking and your view and consequently your actions and your successes. Every customer is different, and so are you. My message stands. Form and content are adapted to you and your expectations. Exciting entertainment: others can and may be boring. I give my keynotes in German or English globally.

about Peter
Dr. Peter Rössger
For over 30 years, I have been fascinated by the design of technology and products. The interaction between system and user, man and machine. The question of how technological products can make our lives simpler, faster, safer, and more pleasant. Knowledge about people in contact with technology in order to shape technology. And not the other way around.
During my professional career at the TU Berlin, at Daimler AG, Harman Automotive, an electronics service provider, and with my consulting company beyond HMI/////, I have always dealt with man and machine, technologies and society. I am looking for the best solution and I will find it. After attending schools in Berlin, New York, and Oxford, I studied mechanical engineering and psychology at the TU Berlin. After a few years, I received my doctorate in human-machine systems, user-friendliness, and the interaction between driver and vehicle. In over 25 years in the industry, I have developed user-oriented solutions for my clients.
In my training as a systemic management coach according to ICF, I learned how to stimulate people to think and act, how to send them on a transformation process, and how to lead them to a new level of thinking, acting, and deciding.
In my keynote lectures, I inspire the audience, provide different perspectives and new insights, and change thinking and acting. I convey knowledge and experience in an entertaining, gripping, and direct way. Yes, laughter is allowed. You will leave my keynote lecture differently than when you came.
In my book “Verstreut meine Asche im Meer vor Mallorca” [Scatter my ashes in the sea off Mallorca], I write about my view on life, technology, and crisis management. I show my way and inspire my readers to find and go their way.
I am a Berliner and therefore almost automatically a citizen of the world. Today I live in Böblingen, Berlin, and Mallorca. I am a family man and husband, a passionate cook, and an ardent Harley rider. I love and live transformation processes and have internalized the maxim “become a little better each day”.
